Our Founders and Ownership
Founded in 1986 by Jane Connor and Sam Prigg, Utah News Clips grew into Utah's most complete TV monitoring Service. In May 2009, Todd and Stephanie Murphy, long time friends of Jane and Sam, purchased Utah News Clips. With common ownership in Universal Information Services, Todd Murphy brings over 100 years of innovation and news monitoring history to Utah News Clips. Still a family owned business, Utah News Clips now can provide an expanded set of media monitoring services. Release-Track-Analyze, Utah News Clips can help you with the full cycle. Management Team
 President, Todd Murphy
Since 1983 Todd has been active in the broadcast monitoring industry. Serving as President and board member of the International Association of Broadcast Monitors and NDS (News Data Services), Todd has helped design many of today's current broadcast monitoring platforms. Focused on innovation and value, Todd brings a global perspective for news monitoring, management, and technology to Utah. As Vice President of Universal Information Services, one of the nation's most historic monitoring service, Todd has experience with some of the largest organization's in the US. Prior to Utah News Clips, Todd opened, operated, and subsequently sold Chicago News Monitoring Service. Born into the industry of news monitoring, with degrees in Radio/Television/Film and Psychology, he finds quality, customer service, comprehensiveness, and consistency his service priorities.
Customer Relations Manager, Amber Smith
With years of experience in sales and customer service, Amber brings this unique balance to the customers and prospective clients of Utah News Clips. With an amazing memory, and capacity to relate to clients, Amber's personality makes working with Utah News Clips a pleasure. We encourage our clients to first turn to Amber if they have any questions related to our services or special requests. From onsite demonstrations, to webinars, to conference calls, Amber treats every client with respect and professionalism. Amber knows your time is valuable, so we make the most of our time with you.
Production Manager, Dave Kenison
Dave careful attention to order details ensures that each project will not only be completed correctly and on time, but will consistently be great across all your orders in the future. If you have any questions related to production, file formats, options for annual DVD compilations, or simply need help choosing what is best for your needs, Dave stands ready to carefully assist you.
Owner, Stephanie Murphy
In addition to Stephanie's ownership in Utah News Clips, she provides administrative support and innovation. As part of our corporate technology team she helps advance our initiatives in social media, customer service, and marketing.
